Obituary of John William Burston

John William Burston, 86, passed away May 25, 2018 in Payson, Utah.  He was born July 21, 1931 in San Francisco, California to Phillip Guy Burston and Alyce Marie Taupiac Burston. John was married to Shirley and they had 5 children together: Lori, Scott, Leslie, Ann and Chris. Later he married Mary Ann Curran, who also had 4 children David, Peggy, John and Ana Beth.

John loved his callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints especially his last calling as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.  He loved to act in plays, play billiards, travel and be with friends.  Archeology and ancient history were his passions, along with Jazz Music.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.  A viewing will be held from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the service.  Burial will be on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, in Bluffdale, Utah.
