Scott Fleming posted a condolence

Hi,
My name is Scott Fleming, and I have know Fred for about 12 years. My first introduction to Fred, was over a phone call when inquiring about purchasing a POS system from him. After that, we met face-to-face in Utah, during my training. It was during that training where I really got to know him. He was very patient, kind with me while I was learning, and extremely knowledgeable about the bookstore industry. During the times of our annual conferences, he was welcoming of my wife along with the other customers; and even asked about my family when they were not present. His kindness and professionalism won me over immediately. Our industry has had a great loss. It has been a pleasure to call him my Friend.

I got to know Fred through being one of his customers. He was a kind, sweet man that spoke softly but there was great meaning in all he had to say. I felt privilege to have known him. Each time I got to speak to him he spoke a lot about his faith, family and love of life. He always made it a point to ask how the person he was speaking to and their family was doing. He will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family not just today but in the days ahead.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Fred for over 17 years. I have worked with him professionally and served alongside him in church activities. Fred was a mentor, a true friend, a tireless worker and one of the best people I ever met. He was highly respected by his peers and customers in his industry, and loved by his employees and friends. Most of all, he was a loving and loyal husband and father. He will be sorely missed.

Fred was one of those people that enjoyed such an inner peace that it radiated from him. In the very short time that I knew him, it was clear that he was a very special and spiritual man. A man like that has a very special place in heaven and in the hearts of those that he touched, forever.
