Obituary of Judy kAY mCcLAIN pRICE

Judy McClain Price Judy Price peacefully returned to her Father in Heaven on Friday, October 24, 2014. Judy was born to Tom and Mildred McClain on November 9, 1939. She was raised by Tom and Bereneice McClain. On September 17, 1956, Judy married James William (Bill) Price. To this union 13 children were born and/or raised. Bill and Judy were married 52 years prior to Bill’s death 6 years ago. Judy earned a BS from Utah Valley State College and a MS from Argosy University in Criminal Justice. Judy was an outspoken advocate for Children with Disabilities, Women’s Protective Rights, Natural Healing Arts and the American Fork Historical and Arts Programs. Judy was an active member of the LDS Church. Her favorite callings included Primary President of the Developmental Special Needs Ward and LDS Temple work. The loves of Judy’s life include: Bill, her eternal companion. Tom, Mildred and Bereneice her parents and Glen McClain and Jay Price, her brothers. Jill Tingey and Rose Vance, her BFF’s. Judy’s 13 children and their spouses and her 37 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Judy has 17 nephews and nieces and hundreds of friends. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Bill and 2 daughters Trisha and Heidi. She is survived by her children: Jim (Suzy) Price, Diane (Joel) Erickson, Julie Chance, Scott Price, Kellie (Bill) Lathrop, Keith (Dana) Price, Dave (Tami) Price, Andy Curtis (Heidi), Matt (Tiffani) Price, Becky (Bob) Gauld, Stacy Cluff (Jeff Smith), and Rocky (Shaleace) Price. A viewing will be held Friday (6-8pm) October, 31, 2014 at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The funeral for Judy will be Saturday 11:00am, November 1, at the American Fork 27th LDS Ward Chapel, 165 North 350 West. Internment, American Fork Cemetery.
