To the Family of Sister Price
Dear Family: I am sorry that I was not able to attend either the viewing or the funeral for your mother. I was saddened to hear of her passing. I have always had a great love and appreciation for your dad and mother, especially their willingness to respond to the needs of others and to fulfill callings in the 27th Ward. They were an anchor to the part of the ward below main street and were counted on because of their faithfulness.
I will always remember their dedication to the youth of the ward and especially to you, their children. They made many personal sacrifices so that you would have opportunities to excel. You were raised by good parents and they have provided you with a phenomenal family legacy. They were always proud of you and each of your accomplishments.
I know that your mom in particular is still actively involved in championing the poor and downtrodden even on the other side of the veil. Your dad is probably involved working with young men or temple work, so the good things they did here on this earth were preparation for their callings on the other side of the veil.
I hope you and all of your families are doing well. Remember your mother and all of the good things she accomplished. Most of all look for her influences on you and your families.
Sincerely,
John K Gardiner
