Obituary of Terik Michael Gagon

Terik Michael Gagon 1997-2015 Our “bright star” beloved by all who knew him, has departed from us for but a moment, safe in the arms of His Savior until we can embrace him again. He has completed his mission on Earth and is now blessing the lives of those who have gone on before him. We already can feel his loving spirit watching over us. Terik was born to Sarah Ann Thurgood and Troy Michael Gagon on 12 May 1997 in Layton, Davis, Utah. He was 17 years old at his passing on 25 February 2015 in Bluffdale, Salt Lake City, Utah. Terik loved above all things being with his family and friends laughing with them and wanting to make them smile. He also loved playing games, watching movies (he especially loved Studio C), and being outdoors, snowboarding, rock climbing and hiking. In his quiet time he enjoyed reading (his favorite was the Harry Potter series). He was a gifted artist and an accomplished pianist who enjoyed sharing his talents to brighten the lives of those around him. He was honored by the Lone Peak Council with the Student Award of Excellence, was a member of the National Honor Society, received the Academic Exemplary Regent Scholarship for college, was the Timberline Student of the Year and was an Eagle Scout. He was preparing to serve an LDS mission and planned to attend BYU Provo. Terik was an exceptional young man of integrity, cheerfulness, faith and devotion to his family and his Church. He was filled with the spirit of Elijah and loved to do family History work. His greatest joy came from attending the temple and performing the ordinances for the family members he had found. His current church calling was Family History Consultant. He always loved going into the homes of ward members and seeing them get excited as he helped them find their first family name. Terik was always looking for ways to love and serve those around him. It was his greatest delight to brighten someone’s day. Terik is survived by his parents, his three sisters Kylee Ann Gagon 13 years, Elizabeth “Elli” Nevaeh Gagon 8 years, Mariauna Diane Gagon 6 years and a brother Trevin Thurgood Gagon 2 ½ years, his Grandparents Michael and Diane Gagon of Auburn, California and Kent and Trudy Thurgood of Veyo, Utah.
