Obituary of Earl Glen Holdaway

Earl Glen Holdaway, 83, passed away January 2, 2018 in Orem, Utah. Born June 12, 1934 in Vineyard, Utah to Glen and Susan Anderson Holdaway. He married Margaret Ann Olsen August 26, 1966 and they were sealed together in the Salt lake Temple on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Earl worked at Geneva Steel for 35 years and brought a lot of joy to families playing Santa Claus for 40 years. He and his son Mike owned Maple Lanes Bowling in Orem, Utah for 11 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children: Jerry (Jennifer) Holdaway, Susan (Ken) Trahan, Michael (Natalie) Holdaway, and Margie Thomas (Chad), 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Jack and Glade Holdaway. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Lakeridge 6th Ward, 80 West 900 South, Orem. A viewing will be held Monday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Provo Cemetery.
