Obituary of Ray Walker Anderson
Ray Walker Anderson, 83, passed away December 5, 2017. Born on December 26, 1933 to Wells Boise and Leda Walker Anderson. Ray married Leila Colleen Thurman on April 20, 1952 in Coalville, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 20, 1969. She later passed away on May 28, 1991. Ray married his second wife, Lois Louise Hone, on May 7, 1994 in the South Jordan Temple.
Ray loved working with his hands. Especially cutting and polishing rocks. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He especially loved fixing things.
Ray is survived by his wife Lois, children: Kristine Allred, Janeen Viles, and Tony Anderson, 30 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, his sisters Colleen Smith, Betty Mousley, and Mary Holmes, daughter-in-law Dawn Anderson and his step-children: Lori (Mac) Uresk, Ann Marie (Ted) Pulley, Scott Walker, and Lisa (Bryce) Shepherd. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Leila, his son Dean Anderson, his brother Loren Anderson “Chub”, and stepson Michael Walker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at the American Fork 9th Ward 680 East 300 North American Fork, Utah. A viewing will be Friday December 8, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah and before the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
