Obituary of Shirley Fraughton Meranda

Shirley Fraughton Meranda, 81, passed away January 21, 2019 in American Fork, Utah.  She was born February 9, 1937 to Lyle Fraughton and Ella Wagstaff.  She married John W. Meranda on April 4, 1954.

Shirley worked in the administration office at the Utah State Developmental Center for 30 years.  She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the Fox Hollow. She was an accomplished artist and loved to paint. Mom, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly and was always there to help in time of need or just to listen. Mom was adored by her family and will be greatly missed by them and all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Jon, children: Catherine Moore, Richard Meranda, five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.  A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:45-10:45 AM.  Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com
