I loved Uncle Beaner! He called my daughter Marijke Beaner and she said “I’m not a beaner you are” That is how he got his knick name! He helped us move from Provo to Salt Lake, let us stay in his home, helped us remodel our bathroom in our first home, attended our kid’s baptisms and our daughter’s wedding. He always included me in his family events and when I stopped by to visit he would invite me to go to dinner with he and Aunt Chloe. He also let us have our wedding reception in his home!! He invited us to his home for Christmas my first holiday away from home, he picked me up from the airport and helped me move into the dorms as a BYU freshman. He invited me to Doug’s weddings and was a supportive guy! I can see Leo doing dishes at his mother in laws and fighting Susie for the last peice of pie! He had a funny sense of humor and I would give him a hard time! He had a good heart and loved others no matter what they gave in return. Hope his family is comforted at this time. Can’t imagine Chloe with out her Leo! Love you guys! Lori Draper-Smith

How does a daughter live without her daddy? No more bear hugs with tears in his eyes telling me he loves me. No more calling me Wagga or his laughter or jokes. No more knowing dad’s there in good or bad. It selfish but I want my daddy back! I am so blessed to living in his home where I can play his country music, visualize him at the kitchen counter playing solitaire. I will miss my sweet daddy everyday for the rest of my mortal life. There is no better man on the earth like my daddy! God blessed me to give me him. I love you daddy and I miss you for the rest of my mortal life. I can’t wait to see you again and have you hold me in your big strong daddy arms and tell me “Hi sis, I’ve missed you”. Until then daddy know you are so loved and so so missed.
