Obituary of Kimberly Ann Thayne

Kimberly "Kim" Ann Thayne, of Highland, Utah, passed away at age 30 on October 4th, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. She was born July 9, 1988 in West Jordan, Utah, the third of seven children, to Michael Gordon Thayne and Cynthia Jones Thayne. Growing up in Highland, Kimberly was a very active and outgoing young woman with a strong sense of adventure and independence. She excelled in volleyball, softball, and marched in the marching band at American Fork High School. Kimberly had a wide range of talents and outlets for her love of music, piano, trumpet, and voice. Her creativity shone through her exceptional artistic talent in many mediums and she received numerous awards and recognition for her art. Kimberly also used her talents professionally as a photographer. She did a short stint of modeling after high school, but she never shied away from getting dirty and having fun outdoors. Kimberly had a way with animals and frequently had a menagerie of pets in her home. She loved children and was a favorite among her younger cousins and the children she would frequently nanny. Those who knew her appreciated her quick wit, creativity, independent spirit, and her generous, tender heart.

Kimberly is survived by her spouse Kendall George (married Dec.12, 2013), her parents, Michael and Cynthia Thayne, and her siblings: James Thayne, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Fox, Christopher Thayne, Tiffany Thayne, Timothy Thayne, Jonathon Thayne, her nieces and nephews, and her grandparents: Gordon E. Thayne, Mary Thayne, Lester C. Jones, and Annie Price Jones. Her grandmother, Donna Anderson Thayne, preceded Kimberly in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Highland 6th Ward Chapel, 6050 Chapel Drive, Highland. Family and friends are invited to visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the same address and at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
