Obituary of Glade B Burch

                On September 22, 2018 on a beautiful sunny fall day, our hero and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend left this world to return home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, Savior, and many loved ones on the other side. Glade Burch alias, (Frank) was the bravest, strongest man we knew. He fought a long hard battle against congestive heart failure for seventeen years. He fought with unending courage and steely determination that continually surprised his doctors. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved to tease everyone he met. He also had a very stubborn streak when he needed it.Frank had a very quiet gentle spirit and was thought of as a big teddy bear. He was a kind, loving man with a tender heart which made him so easy to love. Frank was a very handsome man with crystal blue eyes and a big infectious smile, a twinkle in his eye for all and a contagious laugh. Everyone thought he looked like the Marlboro man in his younger years.

                 He was born August 27, 1957 to Merrill and Carol Burch. Frank had a very happy childhood and came from a big family. He attended Greenwood and Harrington Elementary. Following he went to American Fork Jr and High School, he graduated in 1975. His first job was at Cozy Corner Cafe and later Ream's Grocery Store where he stocked shelves. From 1976-1988 he worked for Burrell Construction and Supply. From 1988 to 1997 he was laborer for General Refractories Brick Plant in 1999 for about two months he worked for East Bay Printing Company and 1999 to 2009 he worked for Northwest Pipe Manufacturing then became disabled after that due to his heart in 2011. He was able to work part time at Deseret Industries for two years which he enjoyed a lot. He also worked part time for Alpine School District where he made many close and wonderful friends.Frank was a very spiritual person and believed in Heavenly Father and Jesus. He knew his life had been spared over and over and was grateful for all the borrowed time he was allowed to live.

                He loved life and enjoyed his favorite things, rabbit hunting, bowling, and fishing in his younger years. He loved to go for coffee and all his life long buddies. He loved Nascar and his hero was the late, great Dale Earnhardt but his passion and favorite past time was to watch the Green Bay Packers. He was a loyal fan through all these years before it was even popular to be their fan.

                 He loved to watch old retro TV, The Andy Griffith Show, Combat, and old westerns. He loved to watch Werewolf movies, Frankenstein and Dracula movies. The Ghost of Mr. Chicken and the Christmas Story are still his favorites. His other very favorite thing was to walk to the Gas Station and hangout with Wesley.

The best day of his life was when Jakobi was born so he wouldn't be outnumbered by" all these women." He dearly loved his little Boo Boo and the 2nd best day was when Londyn was born a beautiful angel sent from heaven.

                 He is survived by his wife of thirty- six years Susan, his three beautiful and amazing daughters; Holly Ann Everitt (Derek), Lacey Louise Rich (Ashton) and Shelby Laura Kitchen. Two precious grandchildren Jakobi Kitchen and Londyn Stitt, who were the joy of his life. His best friend and side kick Wesley Bowers. His siblings Curtis (JoAnn) Burch, Blake (Michael) Burch, Rochelle (Zane) Withers, Pamela (Joe) Coates. Preceded in death by his parents Merrill and Carol and his brother Randy Hilton Burch.

                 On behalf of our family, thank you to all of you who have loved him and all of us for all these years. We did not fight this battle alone and we are grateful for all the tender mercies and acts of kindness we have received. Dear family we love you. American Fork 16th ward you are the best, know it and believe it. A special thank you to Dr. Charles Dahl and Dr. Chaung Wong who have cared for him and now befriended our family all these years. May God continue to bless all your hearts and ours.

                 We will miss you, till we see you again. Love you Daddy-O!

                 A graveside service will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at American Fork Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at Anderson and Sons Mortuary located at 49 East 100 North, American Fork.
