Obituary of Roberto Manent-Soto

Roberto Manent-Soto, 94, passed away in Toccoa, Georgia August 30, 2018. Born August 10, 1924 in Nueva Gerona, Isle of Pines, Cuba the son of Martin Manent and Corona Soto. He married Ana Julia Cerezo and they had one daughter. 

Roberto’s hobbies were traveling, animals, and music. He loved Utah and visiting his many friends there. Roberto was active his whole life from the moment he woke up until he went to bed he was finding things to do that were positive and helpful to others. To know him is to love him. He loved his family and friends. He loved to tell jokes and to laugh and make others laugh. His kindness and laughter will be missed greatly. 

Survivors include: his daughter Ana (Mark) Garfield; step grandchildren and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ana. Services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm in the Alpine City Cemetery, 400 Grove Drive, Alpine, Utah.
