Obituary of Loreen Rolfson Rieske
Loreen Rolfson Rieske, 87, of American Fork, Utah returned home to her Heavenly Father on July 27, 2018. She was born on May 1, 1931 to Bazel Phillips Rolfson and Thelma Gordon in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Loreen married Virgil Everett Rieske on November 14, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 8 children that they raised in American Fork, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different ways. She enjoyed singing, painting, sewing, and being a full time mother.
Loreen loved her family, she is survived by all eight children: Debra (Eldred) Johnson; Paul (Kathryn) Rieske; Sheila (John) Foster; Janeen (Scott) McFadden; Christine (Curtis) Brinkman; Bill (Jennifer) Rieske; Daniel Rieske; Carrie (Wesley) Jordan; 36 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren and 7 siblings: Belva Healey, Sherman (Jean) Rolfson, Gerane (Lee) Wilson, Elon (Gary) White, Nesha Dubendorf, Luana Christensen, and Ray Rolfson. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 grandsons, 1 great grandson, parents, 2 sisters; Theda Wickham, Naoma Brown and 1 brother, Gordon Rolfson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11 am in the American Fork 29th Ward Chapel, 455 East 300 North. Visitations will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N. American Fork and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
