Obituary of Howard Kenneth Betts

Howard Kenneth Betts, 73, passed away July 18, 2018 in Provo, Utah.  He was born January 29, 1945 in Provo, Utah to Howard McEntire and Vivian Maxine Hodson Betts.

Ken grew up attending elementary through high school in Orem and Provo, Utah.

He enjoyed cooking spending most of his working career as a cook in restaurants like the Flying V in Heber City and Elliott’s in Provo.  When not cooking he spent the majority of his free time outdoors as an avid fisherman and hunter. Ken is widely remembered for having had a fondness for fixing up and working on fast cars. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Ken is survived by his son Robert (Vicky) Betts, five grandchildren: Chyenne, Shelby, Jeslyn, Weston and Wylie, his siblings Merianne (Jay) Nelson and Ed (Kathy) Betts along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jay and a sister Rosalie Bacca.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 AM in the American Fork Cemetery.  A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork prior to the services.
