After moving all over the country for several years, while her husband served in the Air Force, they settled in Ridgecrest, California where they continued to raise their family.  They lived in Ridgecrest for over fifty years. Lois was the consummate homemaker, beloved of her children.  She and her husband served a temple mission together for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the Los Angeles Temple as well as a genealogy mission in Salt Lake City.

Lois was always looking for ways to serve those around her.  Being with and serving her children and grandchildren brought her great joy.  She helped raise two children from the Indian Placement Program. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making blankets for her children and grandchildren.  She was a great cook, always making sure her family was well fed.  Lois was adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
