Obituary of Sandra Arlene McAffee Nixon
Sandra Arlene McAffee Nixon, our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on May 10, 2018 after suffering for 16 years with pain from a disease called Sarcoidosis in the brain. Sandra was born on April 13, 1945 in Heber, Utah to Ferris McAffee and Erma Vera Provost. She attended American Fork High, Utah State University, and earned a degree from Stevens Henager Business College. She married Edward Nixon on July 28, 1976 in American Fork, Utah and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 20, 1978.
She was a fun loving person who made friends wherever she went, and she loved her husband, children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She leaves behind her husband, two children, Brett and Claudia Nixon and Tonya and David Schillen, 5 Grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob (who is serving in the Guayaquil Ecuador South Mission), Zachary, and Riley Schillen and Allen Nixon; Three Brothers and their wives, Gary and Joyce McAffee, Dennis and Kathy McAffee, and Ron and Sharon McAffee. Her sister Peggy and her husband Warren Ellett preceded her in returning home.
We will be celebrating Sandra’s life on this earth on Friday, May 18th at the American Fork East Stake Center located at 825 East 500 North in American Fork just South of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple at 11:00 AM, with a viewing starting at 9:45 AM. There will also be a viewing Thursday evening at the Anderson Mortuary at 49 East 100 North in American Fork, across from the City Offices from 6 to 8 PM.
