Obituary of Wendell Fred Strong

Wendell Fred Strong, 87, passed away on April 30, 2018. He was born on December 6, 1930 in Alpine, UT to William Frederick Strong and Florence Thornton Strong.

He married his sweetheart Mary Peck in the Salt Lake temple on June 2, 1950. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and worked as a CPA, and later became a land developer/ home builder.

Anyone who knew dad, knew a giving, loving, and hard-working man who spent much of his life giving to those around him.   He and Mom served many years as temple workers in San Diego, and Mount Timpanogos temples.  Dad loved to tease, an art he learned from his older brother, Ronald.  He loved golfing, playing tennis, and attending any BYU sporting event he could.

He loved to travel and enjoyed taking his wife and family on many vacations. He opened his heart and home up to many, and always made sure those around him were well cared for.  Daddy will surely be missed.

He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Randall (Lahna) Strong, Scott (Jodi) Strong, Deryl (Allison) Strong, and Kathleen Judd as well as 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Roland Strong, brothers Thornton Strong, Ronald Strong, and sisters Betha Ingram, June Beck, Jean Strong, and Mildred Strong.
