Obituary of J Verl Bennett

J. Verl Bennett passed away peacefully at home in West Jordan, Utah on February 25, 2018. He was born May 15, 1941 and raised by his parents Harvel and May Bennett in American Fork, Utah.

He married Vicky Batchelor. They had two children, Shane and Jilyn. They later divorced. Verl married Bonnie Sullivan and gained another son, Robert. They were married for 46 years.

Verl loved spending time with family and friends and was always so willing to help others. Verl was a man of many trades. He worked at Lehi Refractories for 54 years. He spent 6 years in the National Guard.

Verl is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, his children Shane, Jilyn and Robert (Luanne), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one sister Lynn. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Chloe and Gordon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 5349 West 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday March 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Saturday at the church before the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
