I didn't have the privilege of spending much time with Aunt Ferol, but the time I did get to spend with her is so treasured.
I remember the first time I met her we were at Aunt Sarah's house, and I had been 'overlooked' (aka avoided an introduction) by Aunt Sarah, and then again when Uncle Carl wondered over to visit with one of his other kids, Aunt Ferol ignored Carl and everyone else to make sure she introduced herself to me (her big brother's 'practacally' only grandkid).
She took me straight to Uncle Virlen, holding my hand the whole time, and said "This is Bill's granddaughter.", she squoze my hand and then he gave me my first "Famous Uncle Virlen" hugs and for once it felt like I belonged to grandpa's family.
She'll get to pick on all of her siblings save Uncle Earnie, but as he's the youngest May be he deserves a break.
I love you guys; wish I could be there.

I only met Her on a handful of occasions. You could tell she was a lovely person. I know she was loved by many. Dear sweet sister may you continue in your good works.

I am so sorry. All my love to Virl and the entire family. I hold so many memories of Ferol that I will forever cherish. She was one of the kindest women I've ever known. When I first met her, my best friend and her daughter, Renee, had invited me over their house after school (at franklin junior). She was cooking dinner and asked me if I'd like to join them, which became a regular thing. I remember staying the night and watching her in the morning cooking breakfast for what seemed like a small army (all the time), and she always made the Best hash browns and hot chocolate ever. She and Virlen always made me feel welcome and loved. I am so proud to have married in to such a wonderful family and that my children have such a beautiful grandmother. I am so glad that I was able to visit last year and take pictures together. I love your smile and I will miss it dearly. God Bless you Ferol and Rest In Peace. I love you, Angela
