Obituary of Douglas Peterson
Douglas K. Peterson, 70, died August 27, 2014. Born on November 4, 1943 in American Fork, Utah and lived there for 53 years. He came to Alaska in 1997. He worked as a roofer for 5 years and then for Geneva US Steel Plant for 20 years both in Orem, UT. He was also a plumber and cabinet maker.
He worked as a custodian at Finger Lake Elementary School for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, 4 wheeling, listening to Elvis and playing with his grandkids. He was a loving husband of 52 years, father and grandfather. He loved his family at Finger Lake Elementary.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Peterson of Wasilla; 2 daughters, Tammra (Ron) Mangum and Angela (Joe) Spaulding both of Wasilla; 3 sons, Tracy (Kandy) Peterson of American Fork, UT, Blake Peterson and Brad (Coral) Peterson both of Wasilla; 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Graveside services will be September 10th at American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center Street, American Fork, UT.
