I have never met Michael, but the description of his life makes me wish that we had known each other. Such determination to overcome and excel again - Wow! I am a cousin to his step-mother, Barbara Taylor.
I know that Michael is with his father and all his loved ones now and I look forward to seeing him in the millenium. Keep going Mike! - Noel

Dear Friends, I felt so badly that I did not feel well enough this morning to go to Mike's funeral service and see all of you again and give my love to the family. Michael was special...very sweet fellow who with his challenges kept going . He was an inspiration. My dear friend, Virginia, always expressed her love for her children and knew they were very capable and wonderful. I felt that she was a great mother. Michael honored her and took care of her. I was so proud of him. My love and sympathy to all of you, Gayle Dudley

Mike and I became friends in 1980. We were introduced by a ward member, and he became my family & marriage counselor. Helping me after a divorce, with his special gift of connecting with people, we became 'forever friends!' I had 6 children and baby triplets that he loved! It has a teary time since learning of his passing. May he rest in peace, and I'm so sorry for his loss! Over the years, as a single Mom, Mike & I were dance partners at the LDS single's dances! We were the best of friends~ he was always full of concern for my family's welfare. Mike, unselfishly, gave of his inspiration, faith and hope! My husband and I were with him at the meeting before the torch ceremony in 2002~ what an honor for us! Mike's daily posts on FB were a constant source of love, hope and inspiration. I looked forward to them and will miss them! His posts helped me, and many others, to accept the trials of life and endure to the end, just as Mike has done! He loved serving others and will be, greatly missed! He's now free of pain and with his beloved family and friends in a far, far better place of Celestial glory! Until we meet again, my dear friend~ Chrissy (Christine Hamilton)

I will miss the inspirational messages that Mike sent very often.
These messages have really helped me to stay focused on the Savior. Mike was fun to be around with a great sense of humor.
Mike would bring a full chicken as a food donation every month to our small, 2nd Friday Stake dance at Ron Roberts' Church at 650 East Stadium Ave. in Provo. He continued to bring the chicken as a potluck donation even when he didn't feel well enough to stay for the dinner. He said he wanted to help out a good cause.
Two or three months ago, Mike told me that he didn't know how much longer he could continue to donate a chicken. He was having health problems. Mike's acts of kindness will never be forgotten.

Dear family of Mike Taylor, I was a SLC 2002 Winter Olympics Torchbearer with Mike. (I nominated him & the Olympic Committee chose my nominee & asked me to be part of the "inspirational pairs" so I was blessed to light Mike's torch & be a part of it all because of Mike.). He was a very special person, one of my dearest friends, I will miss him terribly & all his inspirational messages that have helped me thru many trials. Thinking of you at this time of loss. I'm so sorry but I know Mike is very happy reunited with his folks on the other side. I posted a tribute to Mike on his facebook page, but don't know if anyone has seen it. I would like to make contact w/a family member, that you might be able to receive a clear copy of the very nice photo used for his Obituary. I have restored it best I could & wanted you to have a copy thru email.

Mike led an amazing life of courage and dedication of which we all can learn from. He was a wonderful man. He is finally free from his mortal affliction and will continue to serve as he always did. I am always saddened for the family that is left behind. You are loved by so many. May you find peace and comfort in the eternal plan of our Father. Love to all. B

Mike was truly an inspiration to me. I know he is happy being free from a restricted body and being with his parents he loved so much. Mike was always serving. I first met him when he was serving as the leader of the Utah South Singles group. Even when there was no formal calling, Mike found a way to serve, to lift others. Many were blessed by his encouraging posts, and pictures accompanied by music that came out most days for many years. They meant a great deal to me. I will miss you, Mike.

My sympathies to all the family. I served In the Northern Indian Mission from 1966-68 as well. My memory is mot as good as it once was, but I do remember Elder Taylor a bit. Also an Elder Sorenson from Santaquin. I pray that the Taylor family will find the peace and comfort that the gospel knowledge can bring at this difficult time.
