Obituary of Michael Duane Erickson

Michael Duane Erickson Heaven gained a sweet angel. Mike passed away September, 16 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 7, 1938 to Duane Jones Erickson and Lenna Thurber Erickson. He married his sweetheart Sue Peterson on May 4, 1963. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mt Timpanogos Temple. They were married for 54 wonderful years. They had two daughters Stacie and Cathy, seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He graduated from Monroe High, Snow collage and Utah State University. He retired from PacifiCorp as a Right Away Agent. Mike’s yard was his pride and joy. He spent countless hours working to move it beautiful. He grew an amazing garden which he enjoyed sharing with others. He enjoyed serving a mission with his wife at the McKay Eddington Learning Center. He is survived by his wife, daughter and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy, parents, brother David, in-laws Keith and Bernice Petersen, brother-in-law Steven Petersen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 29th Ward, 680 East 300 North. A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Saturday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
