Obituary of Helen Evans Steffen

Helen Evans Steffen passed away January 10, 2015 at her home in American Fork in the loving care of her family. She was born June 20, 1927 in Provo, Utah the daughter of Lamar Stanford and Fern Curtis Evans. She married Walter Eugene Steffen January 24, 1949 and they were later sealed on October 16, 1958. Many people were enriched because they were taught to play the piano by Helen during her 30 years as a teacher. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. Survivors include: three grandsons, Robert Lamar Steffen Jr; Jason (Shayla) Steffen; Richard Hopkins; her two great grandchildren Jack and Noah Steffen; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her son Robert; a brother Grant Evans; her three sisters: Marjorie Buchanan; Joan Cunningham; and Kay Phillips. Services will be held Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork.
