Obituary of LaRae Pectol Adams
LaRae Pectol Adams, born on 10/23/1951, life time resident of American Fork passed away Sunday 1/11/15. She is survived by her husband Edmund Adams. LaRae is the child of Melvin and Ramona Pectol. She has no surviving siblings or children.
At the age of 8 LaRae was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her faith was a very important part of here life. She spend most of her adult life volunteering at the Utah State Developmental Center ward, and was instrumental in ensuring that the individuals there were able to attend church services and week night activities. On 3/9/1993 she married her long time sweet heart in the Manti Temple.
LaRae and Ed were blessed to be able to live in the home purchased by her parents. Together they enjoyed activities like camping, fishing, and dune buggy riding in the deserts of Utah. Her favorite trip was in 2006, when she and Ed accompanied other family members to Anaheim CA and spent a week in Disney Land.
Family was super important to LaRae, she has many nieces and nephews. Every time there was a birth, baptism, or birthday, LaRae made a point to attend the party, and always showed how much she loved that child. The children all knew and loved their Aunt LaRae.
Later in life LaRae was diagnosed with Alzheimer. As the disease progressed, and LaRae got sicker, she still held on to here sweet disposition, and even at her worst moments she always showed those around her how much she loved, and cared for them.
We will miss you LaRae, you were an inspiration to us all and truly a blessing to have you as part of our lives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork, 3rd Ward,165 North 350 West. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, and Friday from 9:45-10:45a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
