She worked for many years for the Alpine School District baking all sorts of delightful things for the kids. She worked until the age of 70. During that time she made many friendships which she cherished throughout her lifetime. Sibyl’s hands were never idle. She was known for her beautiful crocheting, porcelain dolls, embroidery, quilts and ceramics. She passed down many of her talents to her family and friends. Many of her beautiful works of art still adorn our homes today. As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many positions and touched the lives of many others through her visiting teaching.
Sibyl was a woman of strength and compassion. She loved being surrounded by family and was proud of their accomplishments. Her home was always open for a good conversation and cookies. She was a good listener no matter what your age. You could count on her to be honest, funny and have an outstanding memory for family genealogy.
Sibyl is survived by her three children: Karren (Ken) Black, Wayne (Theresa) Luck and Christine Luck. She has 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren with three more on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine Black.
