Sorry to read about my cousin's death. I have a fun memory of running thru the sprinklers with her as children when the Hathenbrooks lived on Cleveland Ave. in SLC. and we were being "tended" by Aunt Undine who told us she thought it would be okay to just wear our underpants since we did not have swim suits. We didn't even own swim suits back then. When Sandy worked for Dr. Robert Hunter she was such a good go-between when I had medical questions and it was always a pleasure to talk with her on the phone. Sandi had a spunky personality and a quick wit. My condolences are with her family. RaNae Davis

Dear Doug & Family, So sorry to learn of Sandi's passing. Thirty-nine years ago I was making cookies with my Beehive class for an elderly neighbor when my body started to shake .I had systemic scleroderma. Holly was in my class, and called Sandi . She was at my door in a minute. It seems to me she brought Jill to finish the project while she took me to the doctor's office. Against my protests, she took me across the street to St. Mark's hospital as per Dr.'s orders. He said it was a matter of life & death. It was July, two months short of my 41st birthday. In a week-and-a-half I will be eighty. Four months prior to that, I was told my life was almost over. I'm so thankful Sandi wouldn't take me home that day, but made me do what the Dr. said.A few weeks ago I got out a picture of her & I at my 70th B.D. party & told myself that I need to call her, but got involved in visits to hospitals where my brother's widow & my cousin are in the last stages of life. I have a wall-hanging in my den that Sandi gave me that has a flower pot and it says "It takes a long time to grow old friends". I would have been at the funeral today, but I live in St. George & was afraid to drive that far alone at my age. Marlene & Katherine couldn't get off work to take me, but send their condolences, as do John & Phyllis who live in California.Mark also sends his love. Talked to all of them last night. It wasn't 'til then that I decided not to come up. The forecast was for high winds today. All my love to the family, Sheila

Jill,
I was so sad to see your Mom's obituary. She was a wonderful woman and had a beautiful family. I always thought she was so glamorous when we were teenagers.
Hope you are blessed throughout this loss.
May God continue to bless you and your family.

I met Sandy (or is it Sandi, sorry I don't remember), when I first started to volunteer at the American Fork Hospital Pink Shop. She worked on the morning shift on Fridays and I work the afternoon shift. She always seemed happy and I really enjoyed getting to know her. We had a lot of laughs. She enjoyed working there and supported the shop. My sincere condolences go out to her husband Doug (Doug, I miss your stopping by and always making me laugh. I love your sense of humor). I am glad I was able to say a final goodbye to her when she was at the hospital. My condolences also go out to her family.

I first met Sandie when she brought me Jill (Bitsy) to tend while she worked. The baby was only 3 months old and we had her for over a year. We loved her and so enjoyed our relationship with Sandie and Don.
