Obituary of Kenneth Kay Walton
Kenneth Kay Walton of American Fork, Utah passed away Nov. 24, 2015 at the age of 85 at his home in American Fork, Utah.
Kay was born to Joseph F Walton and Myrtle G Walton on Feb. 8, 1930 in American Fork.
He married Diane Walker Walton his sweetheart Feb. 9, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children, Robert Kay (Janice) Walton of Lehi, Craig John Walton of American Fork, Jill Walton of Lehi and Sue Brown (Steve) of West Jordan, Utah, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Kay graduated from Brigham Young University in 1952 in Elementary Education. In 1982 Kay became Assistant Principal of Orem Junior High School. He deeply loved it. In 1983 Kay was moved to the American Fork Junior High School where he was made Assistant Principal. Here he influenced the life of several students. He enjoyed it very much. He retired in August 1987.
Kay served the LDS Church in many leadership positions both in Priesthood and Stake position.
Kay & Diane served in the Baptistery at the Provo Temple where he was a director over one of the sessions and also in the Mount Timpanogos temple. He loved the gospel and was a very spiritual man.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 100 North 300 East. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 29th from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Monday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m..
