Obituary of DArlene Marie Carpenter Page

Darlene Marie Carpenter Page,75 passed away December 4, 2015 in Alpine Utah. Born September 30, 1940 in Murray, Utah to Otto and Eva Walker Carpenter, She married LeRoy Gwynn Page on September 14, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a mother of six, grandmother of 25 and great grandmother of 8 with 2 more on the way. She loved to attend every sporting event, school activity, grandkid event and anything to do with the Boy Scouts. She helped her sons and many boys in and around Alpine achieve their Eagle Scout Award. She was also awarded the Silver Beaver by the Boy Scouts of America. She graduated from Bingham High School and attended BYU and was a member of the BYU Folk Dance Team. Her hobbies included doing ceramics, crochet, cross stitch, puzzles, reading and watching any sport at any time, especially tennis and fast pitch softball. She loved the holidays and being with her kids and grandkids. This past Thanksgiving was very special because she was home with all of her kids and almost all of her grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by her husband LeRoy and her six kids. Brenda Betteridge (the late Scott Jorgensen and Brent Betteridge), Todd (Wendy), Brian (Julie), Troy (Tina), Toriann Worthington (Greg) and Brandon (Sherri). Her brother Dale Carpenter and EllaRee Carpenter Peterson and her grandkids and great grandkids. We love and will miss you Mom!! Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Alpine LDS Stake Center, 98 East Canyon Crest Road, Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m in Anderson and Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial in Alpine Cemetery.
