Obituary of Lowell Bruce Bennett

Lowell Bruce Bennett, 67, of South Jordan, passed away April 8, 2016. Born August 5, 1948 in American Fork, Utah the son of Lowell Rex and Hope Fae Hilton Bennett. He married Marilyn Anderson June 15, 1976 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Bruce’s greatest passion was his art. His favorite paintings were those that represented his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He served an LDS mission to Germany after which he traveled as a musician for 5 years where he met and married the love of his life. He taught guitar to many students over the years who have always held a special place in his heart. Bruce was active in many LDS Church callings where he was able to do what he loved most which was to serve others. His greatest joy was to be able to spend time with his family who he deeply loved, especially when spending time at his cabin in Island Park. Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn; sons Jeremy (Shawna); Nathan; Tyson; Braedon; 3 grandchildren, Chase; Hailey; Zoe; his brothers Gordon L.; Lynn H (Marva) ; and Robert Dean (Marty). He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Hope Bennett, his brother Ronald Rex, and his daughter Jennifer Ann Bennett Goodall. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Country Crossing Stake Center, 10860 South 3200 West, South Jordan. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
