Obituary of Phillip Brandon Bourgeois

Phillip Brandon Bourgeois passed away peacefully September 1st, 2017. Brandon’s story began September 11, 1970 when his parents were blessed with a wonderful baby boy full of life and mischief and this has never changed. Growing up he always seemed to be in the middle of everything, challenging rules, testing boundaries, and forging his own paths. His sweet smile and fierce determination melted the hearts of all who knew him. As an adult, he was never afraid of anything and was the kind of loyal friend we all want to be. He made everyone he met feel welcome and accepted. If you were lucky enough to be included in his circle of friends you know he would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.

Brandon got his love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors from his dad and shared it with all of his boys. He was a BBQ extraordinaire and his deep compassion for others was a trait gifted to him from his mother who was his biggest fan. His greatest joy in life came from coaching and cheering on his boys in numerous sports including motocross, baseball, basketball and football. Most days and weekends were spent at the races or ball fields sharing advice, support, love of the game and creating a lifetime of great memories.

Brandon was employed at Horizon Realty Advisors primarily at Branbury Apartments in Provo Utah for the past 11 years and considered them an extended family.

Brandon leaves a loving family who were blessed to have known him. He married his wife Brenda Zeeman on November 27, 1997 and they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Tyson Hernandez (Talon), Jace Zeeman (Zuri, Zylie and Tytan), Tanner Zeeman, Brendon Bourgeois, and Justin Bourgeois.

His Parents Pam (Jerry) Kihlstrom, Phillip (Alice) Bourgeois and sisters Yvette (Brett) Campbell, Mindee (Rob) Clark and Lindsay (Bruce) Farnsworth, Victor (Hillary) Smith, Chad (Melissa) Kihlstrom, Amber (Keith) Hansen. Lots of Nieces and Nephews that love Uncle Brandon.

We will miss him greatly. The family will hold private memorial services.
Community will be holding a Celebration of Brandon’s life. In lieu of flowers we ask you to donate to a scholarship fund set up for Brendon and Justin. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/rememberingbourgeois for more information
