I thoroughly loved getting to know Aunt Bertha, she was able to give us a lot of information on the Brems family. Francis Brems was her brother and our grandfather, she was able to tell us about taking care of Uncle Allen when he was younger, she considered him her own. I am so sorry for your loss and that we did not attend because of communication. Peace to her family.

I loved being Bertha's visiting teacher many years ago. I always felt peaceful and comfortable in her presence. Her home was warm and welcoming. I loved hearing her stories of life in the early days. She was always very complimentary and spoke highly of others. Her love for John Quincey was evident and his for her.
