Obituary of Ruth Pace Greening Hall
Ruth Pace Greening Hall, 87, passed away June 29, 2016 in American Fork, Utah. Born October 26, 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to John Ivins and Lillian Hoyt Fackrell Pace. She married Darryl Warren Greening on October 6, 1944 in American Fork, Utah. He passed away on October 17, 1994. Later she married Harlan E. Hall on March 8, 1996 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He passed away on June 28, 2011.
Ruth was a gifted artist and poet. She loved to crochet. Her home and the homes of her family are filled with her artwork and handmade treasures. She was an active member of the LDS church. Her favorite callings were the ones when she was able to "work with the boys." She spent 21 years in various scouting jobs and earned the 2nd Miler award. She served a mission at the Ogden Temple Visitors Center with her first husband. And later served another in the Baton Rouge LA mission with her second husband. The Hallmarks of her life were service and and charity. Her greatest love was her family. She had an incredible gift for making everyone she met feel loved and special.
Ruth is survived by her children: Paula (Bob) Durrant, Jerry (LaRae) Greening, Janet (Wes) Duvall, Jody Taufer, and RuthAnn Greening, 22 grandchildren, and 52 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both husbands a daughter, Glenna Rae a son Daryl Greening, her parents, and 8 siblings.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 27th Ward Building, 165 North 350 West, American Fork, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and on Wednesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the service. She will be buried in the American Fork Cemetery.
