Obituary of Mary Anne Andrews
Mary Anne Wanlass Andrews, 85, passed away August 30, 2016, in American Fork, Utah. She was born May 31, 1931, in American Fork to Samuel and Ruby Venina Huggard Wanlass. She married Bruce Lewis Andrews on October 2, 1950, in American Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 10, 1967.
Mary Anne was known for her handiwork, especially embroidery and crochet, and for sewing clothing, as well as for her handmade paper crafts. She was also known for her infectious smile and cheerful, outgoing personality. She worked as a volunteer at American Fork Hospital.
She is survived by her children: Susan Andrews Ostergaard and David Bruce Andrews, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce of 55 years, her parents, her siblings: Mildred (Wanlass) Mecham, Samuel Wanlass, Darrell Wanlass and Beth (Wanlass) Cook.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the American Fork 1st Ward Chapel, 390 South 300 East. A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, and Wednesday at the church prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at American Fork Cemetery.
