To Lynette and family. I could not help but remember the happy days we had in primary so long ago. Those were wonderful days. So sorry for your loss. Hope you can keep going with the joy we find in the gospel. Love you. Ladonna Broadhead.

It was my privilege to assist with Reeds care. His family welcomed me into their family. I will miss him but I knew he is in a better place. Love to the family.

We first heard about Reed when he was a star player on the American Fork High Football team in the only year AF took home the State Champion Title. Several years later, the senior football team of '69 was humbled when Reed and some of his teammates from the State Champion team showed up at practice and gave us a long remembered lesson on how champions played football. Being tackled by Reed was a bone jarring experience. It was our pleasure to become better acquainted with this great man and his wonderful wife, Lynette during the marriage of Kristina and Ken. Always the gentleman and quick to laugh, he enjoyed life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Chidester family at this time.

My grandpa was one of the strongest people I know, today I was sitting in class drawing and scribbling in a notebook I had on hand. Then I remembered the time where I stood infront of a picture and looked at it in awe, then grandma walked up behind me then said "Did you know grandpa painted that?" I looked at her with a surprised look then ran up to grandpa and said "Did you really paint that grandpa?" He picked me up and said "Yup, but that was a long time ago." Now I will try to honor him by improving my drawing and painting skills. There was another time where we would go to the cabin and have campfires and tell spooky story's, my favorite things to do with him was go on four-wheeler rides. When we were in the back, he would slow down then speed up slowdown and speed up. I am so grateful for all the memories that he has given me. Love you grandpa to the moon and back.

Kristina and family-
One of the things i admire most about your father is the fact that he worked hard, was very successful but lived a quiet, modest life. I am so grateful that my brother had such a wonderful father-in-law that he admired and looked up to. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys right now as you journey on in this life, awaiting the reunion with this wonderful man and father.

Reed was, to me, the salt of the earth, genuinely decent type of man. He worked hard to provide for his family, gave back to the community with his love of coaching young men and made no excuses for anything. Although he was very successful in his work ethics and ability, he never lived an extravagant life style preferring instead to focus on his family and his city, Highland has lost a giant of a man who will be missed greatly. R. I. P. old friend!!

My favorite memory with Reed takes place about 38 years ago. I was camping with them and I think Clint was just a baby. I was new to taking care of business outdoors. Reed told me just to go behind a tree. Lynette and Reed had a blue healer rowdy dog in those days who had taken a liking to me. After I found a tree away from camp, I heard Lynette yelling at the dog to come back to camp. Ignoring her, he found me behind the tree and pounced on me like a ragdoll. I was screaming for him to get off but he just wanted to play and was liking my face and wagging his tail. I was quite a sight as I came back to the trailer Reed was laughing so hard his eyes were watering. He laughed the whole trip every time he thought of it. Picturing him full belly laughing is how I will always think of him.
