Paul was an amazing man with a wonderful spirit. Having had some great one on ones with him I could feel his love for me even though I knew I was one of many under his stewardship. He had the capacity to share that light and love effortlessly. I hope his family can find comfort in knowing that to me Paul was as Christ-like as they come.

Paul was a great mentor when I first got started a WGU. He was great to work for and a good man. He was always so happy I will miss saying hi to him in the hallway. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his wife and Children. May the Lord bring peace and comfort you you all.

I can't imagine life without my amazing, brother right now. He was just standing in the doorway with his cheerful, enthusiastic smile waving goodbye to Mom and I on Thanksgiving Day. He was wise, and kind. He could be stern, because I was his baby sister. But I never doubted he loved me. I will miss the times when we watched football games, and me being the complete emotional fan..always getting 100% wrapped up in the moment, he would say,
"Kathy, it's only a game."
Okay, Paul..
"Love ya lots!"

Cheryl,
Thank you so very much for your sweet words. Thank you also, for allowing us to "have" Anthony! I couldn't ask for a better Nephew! (There are no such things as Nephew in laws where I'm concerned.) He's a keeper, for sure!
I can't imagine life without my brother, but I'm sure glad that he was able to have that beautiful day back in May, when your family joined ours!

Paul was the third person I met at WGU and the one who interviewed me for my first position. He was always there if I had any questions, which I often did, and was great at providing feedback when he saw an opportunity for improvement. Simply put, he was a fantastic mentor who wanted the best for those on his team and around him. Though we had our occasional differences, I did, and always will have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Having overheard him receive several calls from recruiters who hadn't a chance talking him into leaving, I know he loved what he did and the mission of WGU. Paul, you made the world was a better place and we're forever in your debt. You will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the loved ones of Paul. I worked at WGU for almost a decade, having only left recently, and Paul was one of those few faces that I always nodded and said hello too. It got to a point where it was awkward not seeing him around, fist bumping in the hallway. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed by so many people, I am sure! Please reach out if there is anything that I may do! Rest in peace, Paul!

It saddened me to hear this news. Paul was always a wonderful man to work with, someone with a quick smile on his face and always something positive to say (as another person said above- he brought a "twinkle" to the office). I know he will leave a lasting impression on many of us here at WGU and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts go out to his family and I hope you have some measure of comfort in these hard times. We will miss you, Paul. May you rest in peace.

Paul, I've known you now for about 37 or so years, even before I met and married your brother Carl. From the very first time I met you as a student in your teacher development class, you have been a mentor to me. Even more important, you have been like a wise and loving older brother to me. You had an amazing gift of making people feel welcomed, appreciated and loved, a trait you inherited from your father. You always were thinking of others, and seemed to have such an optimistic outlook on life. Thank you for being such a great example to me of a true Christian. I will miss you so much.
