Obituary of Colleen Runolfson Caldwell
Colleen Runolfson Caldwell, 73, passed away December 6, 2016 in Payson, Utah. Born November 5, 1943 in Payson, Utah to Loyal Boas Runolfson and Fern Hunter Runolfson. She went to Forbes Elementary School. She later attended American Fork Junior High and graduated from American Fork High School. She went straight way after that to Dugway and worked as a secretary. Then she worked at Fort Douglas and later worked at the Orem post office and retired in 1986.
She married Joe Ludlow Ek. They later divorced. Colleen married Lawrence Dee Caldwell on November 16, 1976 in American Fork, UT. Their marriage was solemnized November 18, 1986 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She liked to go shopping with her daughter. She loved to play the guitar, bowling, flowers and gardening. She also loved to paint and draw. She had a beautiful voice. She had an infectious laugh and could light up a room. She had a funny personality and a unique sense of humor. She loved all kinds of dancing.
She is survived by her daughter Shar (Kelly) Morrison, her siblings: Vala Jeanne’ Runolfson, Vell (Claudia) Runolfson, Kent (Janeen) Runolfson, Arlen (Judy) Runolfson, Muriel (Tom) Cook and Debra (Michael) Aston, sister-in-law Luella Little, Aunt Darline (Bill) Ivie and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Caldwell, and her parents Loyal and Fern Runolfson, and her parents-in-law Cecil and Jennie Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at American Fork 3rd Ward, 165 North 350 West, American Fork. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and at the church Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery.
