Obituary of LoReta Stephenson Sorenson

LoReta Stephenson Sorenson beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the age of 82. She had lived in Manila, Pleasant Grove, Utah since 1961. She was born August 18, 1935 to Blake and Alice Bushnell Stephenson. She grew up in Provo, Utah. She was the oldest of four children, Kay, Dale, and Rella. LoReta was married to Eliot Ben Sorenson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1957. They have 12 children Lucinda, Ben, Katreena, Blake, Lily, Laura, Robert, Kirsten, Daniel, Eric, Twila Dawn, and Lorenzo, 58 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Kay, daughter Twila Dawn, and great-grandaughter Paislee. She will greatly be missed, but we will also be rejoicing as she reunites with family and friends on the other side. We are grateful for all of those who helped us take care of our mother especially this last while. We would like to give a special thanks to Fyzical Therapy and Dr. Kerry Welch. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 1, at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork, Utah 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 2, at the LDS chapel 1541 N. 1300 W., Pleasant Grove, Utah from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., after which, she will be buried next to her husband in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
