Obituary of Richard Blood

Richard Blood passed away on March 5th, 2017 at his home at the age of 86. He was born May 19th, 1930 in Pleasant View, Utah to Boyd James and Mary Bernice Blood. He married Fae Kirkman on June 4, 1950 and was later sealed June 29th, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised three children: Elaine (Gail) Christiansen, Maurine (Royce) Shelley, and Scott (Lynn) Blood. He and his sister, Carol, were raised in American Fork. He has 10 grand children and 19 great-grand children. After graduating from American Fork High School in 1948, he worked in the open hearth of Geneva Steel. He spent many happy hours hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. One of his greatest passions was cultivating his many beautiful iris year after year. Funeral services will be held Friday March 10, 2017 at 11:00am in the Anderson and Son’s Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork where a viewing will also be held prior to the services from 9:45-10:45am. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery.
