Alese and family,
Sorry to hear about your mom. I know how close you and her were. I have a lot a memories of coming up to your house all the time I was growing up.I have been trying to find your address so I can mail you a card, but no luck so far, I will keep trying. Take care of yourself and God bless.

When I taught Relief Society in the Red Brick church, Joan was the chorister. Every month when it was my turn to teach, she would call me to see if there was a special song that would help bring the spirit to the lesson. Joan taught me the importance of the spirit that music can bring. She was always so cheerful and even in the end, when I visited she would try so hard to smile or say something. I'm glad she is at peace,

Joan served wholeheartedly, faithfully every month as my nonmember grandma's visiting teacher when my grandma moved here. Joan always brought her bright, warm smile, her loving heart, and her shining spirit wherever she was. Joan was an angel among us. We are blessed to have known her.

you could always count on Grandma to give you a full belly. It wasn't very often that I would go to Grandma's house and not smell fresh baked banana bread or something in the oven. she always had a refrigerator in the garage for the soda pop free for the taking.I remember going over for visits every couple of days a week when I first got my driver's license.she would always ask how my family is doing and she always cared about everybody else's feelings over her own. most of the time I would go up on a Sunday to visit with her but she was usually on her way to clean the temple but she always made time to talk with me. she never missed a hug either. she would hug anybody and everybody. she was truly an amazing grandma and will be greatly missed. I know we will meet again and have our talk time again and of course I'm hoping there will be a soda in the refrigerator waiting. Love you and see ya next visit. (That's what we would tell grandma as Tess and I would leave her house)

Great Grandma always had the tradition of sending me a letter on my birthday no matter where I lived or how old I was getting. She was a person who is thoughtful and loving. I am sad to hear of her passing, but I am sure that her reunion in heaven with Great Grandpa, Kelly, her siblings, and my Dad Brandon (her Grandson) was a special occasion. We will miss her and God be with you 'Till we meet again.
