Obituary of Elsie Irene Herrera Merrill

Elsie Irene Herrera Merrill, 60, of Eagle Mountain, passed away in Murray, Utah surrounded by her family. Born October 11, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado the daughter of Miguel and Mary Eva Martinez Herrera. She married Amos Vernon Merrill September 16, 1977 in Elko, Nevada their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on December 21, 1985. She loved cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include her husband, Amos; son Joshua (Alex) Merrill; 5 grandchildren and her siblings: Elevi Herrera; Stella Caudill; Frank Herrera; Ruth Herrera; Lucy Topolovec. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Amos Jr. and Jacob Vernon and a granddaughter, Katie. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 11 AM in the Meadow Ranch 1st Ward, 9475 Mustang Way, Eagle Mtn. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment at Pony Express Memorial Cemetery in Eagle Mtn. In lieu of flowers please make donations at any America First Credit Union in Elsie Merrill’s name to help cover medical and funeral expenses.
