Obituary of Barbara Joan Stevens Truxell

Barbara Joan Stevens Truxell, 74, of Green River, Wyoming passed away February 2, 2018 in Salt Lake City after a short illness. Born April 4, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, Barbara later moved to California where she spent most of her life. She married Fred Paul Truxell September 18, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. Although they only knew each other for 8 days, they shared 57 years of love, joy and friendship. Barbara’s could make a friend anywhere she went, always wanting to put a smile on someone’s face. She loved people and always wanted to help everyone. She was also very fond of Dale Earnhart Sr., and more recently found a love for cats. Survivors include her husband, her children: Beau Truxell; Aleta Phillips; Mark Truxell; Kelly Allen and laws Chris Truxell and Joy Truxell; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her sister Annie Chaffin. She is preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her Robert and Lilly Miller and her son Tony Truxell. Private family services will be held.
