Obituary of Orlando Pineda
Orlando Pineda, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 23, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 75.
Orlando was born to Abel Pineda and Eduvijen Romero Pineda on January 20, 1943 in Embudo, New Mexico. He married Erma Herrera on August 29, 1964 in Provo, Utah. He spent his childhood in New Mexico before enlisting in the Armed Forces at the age of 18, where he served in Korea from 1961-1963. After coming home, he moved to Utah where he raised his family after meeting and marrying his wife. He retired at the age 55 from BP Amoco Oil Company in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a recording artist, loved camping fishing, exercising, watching wrestling, spending time with family, and was the "king of corny jokes".
He is survived by his wife, children: Donna (Jeff) Barzee, Tony Pineda, and Tonya (Trent) Densley, 6 grandchildren, and siblings: Emma, Sarah, Ernest, and Sammy. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Marcella, and 6 siblings.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 634 North 600 East, American Fork, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with rosary services from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
