Phillip Tulloh posted a condolence

To the Gunter Family and friends:
My name is Phil Tulloh, class president of the class of '54. John and I were friends in High School and we both took our West Point exams together at Fort Knox, Ky around 1956.
John and I played basketball and enjoyed many class functions together. He was a great student and was always cheerful. John and I communicated through my Class Newsletter through the years and I will miss him greatly. I know the family is very proud of him.

I was on the physics faculty when John was a student, and he took courses from me. He was a fine student and had a winning personality. I well remember a talk he gave poking fun at some of the faculty, myself included; we all had a good laugh about it. My wife Janyce and I visited his and Diane's homes in Provo and American Fork, and we were very impressed with his career; he did very well with his life. Please give Diane our love and condolences.
